Fishtown has emerged as Philadelphia’s cultural and creative epicenter. Originally a working-class neighborhood where in the early 19th century Dutch and Swedish Shad fishing families settled, Fishtown is now a harbor of artistic, culinary, and musical action.
Winning Philly’s Neighborhood of the Year, many local & national outlets have devoted articles to what has been called Philadelphia’s most interesting neighborhood.
Fishtown has ample green space with Penn Treaty Park, Palmer Park, Konrad Square, Hetzell's Playground and a plethora of dog parks and gardens. In fact, Fishtown is probably the only neighborhood in Philly right now with a truly strong connection to the Delaware River.
